The Bachelor alums Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood were reportedly filming a reality show over the summer. Last week, news broke that Cassie Randolph, winner of Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, filed a restraining order against Underwood, after making serious claims against him.
Cassie and Colton met on his season of The Bachelor, and she quickly became a front runner. Randolph initially left the show before fantasy suites, as she wasn’t sure Underwood was the one for her. Colton was heartbroken by the breakup and famously jumped the fence due to feeling so upset by the split. They ultimately got back together and dated for almost 2 years, until their untimely breakup in May of this year. Now, Randolph has filed for a restraining order against Underwood, after stalking claims.
According to Us Weekly, Underwood, 28, and Randolph, 25, were filming a reality show together “about their lives post-breakup,” a source revealed. “They were in production all summer. However, they both had since pulled out.” This news makes sense, as Underwood revealed a possible return to TV last month. “The next project I’ll do, I’ll have a little more control of as far as what my purpose is and making sure the show itself is purposeful,” he said during a Chat4Good panel. Underwood continued on, assuring the audience something TV-related was coming soon, “I’m very, very excited about that. Sooner rather than later, you’ll see what I’m talking about. I can’t get into it quite yet, but I’m definitely not stepping away completely out of TV.” However, Randolph cited Domestic Violence Prevention as the reason for the restraining order request. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Randolph alleged that Underwood had been harassing her by text message since they broke up in May. He was allegedly accusing Randolph of seeing an ex-boyfriend while they were together. The Bachelor alum Cassie also alleged that Underwood placed a tracking device on her car and has shown up to her apartment and her parents’ home unannounced.
An insider revealed to the magazine that Underwood was “blindsided” by the news and added, “Cassie and Colton haven’t spoken for a month. He’s been in Colorado…All of this is a surprise, and he feels blindsided.” According to the source, Colton Underwood was madly in love with Randolph, but she didn’t reciprocate. The Bachelor in Paradise alum appeared on the Reality Steve podcast and revealed he wishes her nothing but the best and misses her dearly.
Colton Underwood mentioned that he and Randolph worked on a new chapter of his book together, about their life after their split and his battle with Coronavirus. “I wrote the chapter and she saw it and was OK with it and we made changes. I say we. I know it’s my book but like, there was more than just the breakup that was going to go into the book, the extra chapter…I wanted to share that in the book of how I navigated that.” Colton Underwood also remarked.
Hopefully, Cassie gets through this hurdle and can come out of things a stronger woman. This situation sounds harsh. If it weren’t for these serious allegations against Colton from The Bachelor, this reality show would’ve been an interesting watch, to say the least.
